Nick calls out how she shines as a boss lady, and he loves it.

Nikki senses something is bothering Victor.

Nick and Nikki Newman talk in the living room.

Victor wants to know if it’s true that she nearly sold Chancellor Industries to Cane

Nikki wants to know where Victor heard that.

Victor points out he obviously didn’t hear it from her.

Nikki says it was when Nick was being held hostage and framed for murder. She doesn’t regret offering it to free her son.

Victor doesn’t like that he was kept in the dark.

Nikki says what upset her was that Cane was prepared with legal documents at the ready.

Victor says that’s proof that Cane organized the party in France to get Chancellor away from them.

Nick hates that they almost lost Chancellor because of Cane.

Nikki says it would’ve been worth it. She says it was her decision and she stands by it. She refuses to listen to Victor’s objections and says she did what any parent would have done.

Nick believes this gives them more insight into Cane’s tactics and suggests the party was meant to throw them off balance and cause friction.

Nikki thinks framing Nick for Damian’s murder was a part of it.

Victor thinks Cane had far more planned than what was revealed. He says they need an inside track and that he’s approached Lily. If anyone can find out what he’s up to, it’s her

Nikki is surprised to hear that Lily is on board with the plan.

Victor insists she is just as worried about her family as they are.

Nick wonders if Cane was actually behind Damian’s murder. He says there is no enemy worse than one with no boundaries. He wants to know how they fight him.

Victor says they don’t fight. He suggests they play it smart and try to convince Cane that they want to join forces with him. He wants Nick to make friends with Cane.

Nick isn’t sure that Cane will believe he’s sincere.

Nikki wants to know the endgame.

Victor says they will make him forget about Chancellor.

Nikki wonders what Cane will get out of it.

Victor says he will get Jabot, and they will help him take the damn company over!

Nikki refuses to be a part of a precedent for Cane to steal privately owned companies.

Victor wonders if she would rather have him stay focused on Chancellor. He doesn’t blame her for wanting to risk Chancellor for one of their children, but says they will have a big problem if she does the same for Jack Abbott!

Nick says the situation is very fluid.

Nikki doesn’t believe her son can get Cane to trust him. She says all these stunts are about Lily.

Nick says he will do whatever it takes to protect their family.

Cane’s Train Car

Cane tidies up the place before Lily arrives.

Lily enters, and Cane welcomes her aboard. She thinks the train is too much like the one in France and wonders if he had it shipped to Wisconsin.

Cane explains that he has one on every continent and says he finds them to be romantic.

Lily says they can be, but trains can also go off the rails.

Cane is glad that she is there now so they can talk.

Lily reminds him that she’s been very clear about where she stands and wants to know what he thinks there is left to say.

Cane thinks they should discuss how they will proceed.

Lily confesses that she does not trust him and his games.

Cane apologizes again for what happened to Damian. He says he’s there for whatever she needs from him.

Cane apologizes.

Lily says they will always be in communication over their children, but they must find a way to coexist.

Cane offers not to try to win her back if that’s what she wants.

Lily reminds him she told him not to return to Genoa City. She thinks he likes causing trouble and isn’t sure why he is there. She appreciates his promise to give her space and says she’s learned how to stand up for herself.

Cane asserts that strength looks good on her.

Lily wants to know if he’s spoken to the kids yet.

Cane says he hasn’t, but he is the same man.

Lily says he is not the man she married.

Cane was hoping they could tell the kids together.

Lily sees that Cane wants them to provide a united front, but she doesn’t want to be involved with the fallout from his charade.

Cane isn’t afraid to own what he’s created.

Lily can’t stand beside him when she doesn’t even know what he has planned for the future.

Cane thought she might say no. He sees now that those days are long gone, and that’s on him.

Lily wonders if it would mean that much to him if she joined him when talking to their kids.

Cane says it would.

Lily hasn’t forgiven him, but she says he has been a good father. She offers to help him tell the kids in exchange for the truth about what he’s doing back in town.

Danny senses Tessa is starting to mean more to his son.

Danny isn’t surprised and has noticed how he lights up when mentioning Tessa’s name.

Daniel says Tessa belongs with Mariah, and he hopes they work things out. He knows firsthand how important it is to see parents work things out.
