Former Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has hinted at a potential comeback to the soap.
The actor played the role of Sophie Webster for 15 years before exiting in 2019, though gave an update on a potential return in a recent podcast chat.
Asked by Naughty Corner host Charlotte Dawson whether she would ever go back, Brooke replied: “I think I would, I think now the kids are a little bit older and they’re going to start school. I’d love to go back.”
Brooke has been focusing on her family since leaving the soap six years ago, having had two sons in 2019 and 2021 with fiancé Kean Bryan.
Previously, the star explained that a return to the soap would be difficult given her family commitments, and that she would focus on smaller projects for the time being.
“Corrie for me will always be home, but Corrie’s ongoing – it’s forever there,” she told OK!. “So for me, smaller projects will be doable because they have a start and an end date.”
She further explained: “The hard thing about Corrie was that the hours aren’t a normal nine-to-five, or you couldn’t go part-time, or you couldn’t start after 10am.
“There was physically no way that I could do it without having a nanny. And there’s Kean’s football as well. I didn’t want the pressure of making those decisions when I didn’t know how I was going to feel.”
Brooke has also opened up about how her pregnancies affected her confidence, sharing on the Made by Mammas podcast: “People just underestimate how carrying a child can make you feel and how it can knock your confidence.”
Viewers will have to wait and see whether Sophie does indeed return to the cobbles.
