Next week in Emmerdale, April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) continues to try and do her best to help troubled friend Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle).
Vinny has done his best to ignore the questions he has about his sexuality, but takes action next week and hopes to try and find some answers.
There’s a lot going on as always! Here’s everything you need to know about the drama unfolding in Emmerdale soon.
Monday, August 4
At the Pavilion, April finds Dylan shivering in pain with his leg injury. Refusing to see a doctor, Dylan is helped by April as they sneak into the vets. Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) interrupts them and has no choice but to patch Dylan up.
Pads then learns that Dylan is homeless, and decides to offer him a room for the night. When Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) arrive, Paddy is left with some explaining to do. While this is happening, Ray (Joe Absolom) tells Dylan about future work. While Mandy is occupied, it becomes apparent that Dylan is hiding a bag of drugs in his bag.
Elsewhere, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) tries to persuade Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) to go easy on Robert (Ryan Hawley). Over coffee, Robert hints at leaving and Aaron reassures him that he’s valued, which gives Robert some hope.
Later, Moira (Natalie J Robb) tries to confront Robert about her land but departs when Vic (Isabel Hodgins) arrives. When Robert suggests they farm Annie’s field together, what will Vic say?
Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Lewis (Bradley Riches) try to persuade Steph (Georgia Jay) to give her and Ross’ (Michael Parr) relationship another go. Later, Lewis orchestrates Ross giving Steph a lift to her therapy session after her car breaks down. Back at Mill Cottage, Ruby is pleased to see Ross and Steph together again.
Tuesday, August 5
As Paddy makes breakfast, Dylan ignores a call from Ray (Joe Absolom). Later, at the pub, Paddy, Marlon and Rhona (Zoe Henry) realise that Dylan was the thug Kyle stabbed. Meanwhile, Dylan makes excuses to get April off his back so he can do a secret drop off.
Dylan feels relieved when Ray accepts him turning down another job but when he gets back to the village, he’s mortified to realise that Paddy and Marlon know exactly what he did. While leaving the pub, Ray watches as Dylan and April walk through the village. What does Ray have in store for Dylan?
At Mill Cottage, after spending the night together, Ross chats to Steph. She asks if he’s been with anyone else since they broke up, and Ross makes a mistake by saying no.
Elsewhere, Mack (Lawrence Robb) and Charity (Emma Atkins) head for a walk through the woods, but Charity then suffers a fall. At Jacob’s (Joe-Warren Plant) later in the day, Charity tries to convince herself that everything will be fine, and doesn’t tell Sarah (Katie Hill) about the tumble when she comes home.
After forcing himself to sit through Mandy and Gabby’s (Rosie Bentham) ‘wedmin’, Vinny finds Kammy at the scrapyard. He gifts Vinny a watch for his wedding and the move leaves him flustered. Vinny tries to convince Kammy that he’s over his wobble, but catches himself looking lustfully at his pal when he heads off to find something at the yard.
Wednesday, August 6
Feeling somewhat smothered, Charity suggests an engagement party for Sarah and Jacob, hoping they will focus on something else for a little while. As the family gets the pub ready for the party, Charity rushes to the toilet. Moments later, Charity tells Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) that she’s been bleeding, but will she tell Sarah as well?
At Mill Cottage flat, Aaron confesses to Vinny that he kissed Robert on his wedding day. He notices the thought makes Vinny sheepish, so Aaron tells him that most people have doubts before getting married. When Vinny then opens up to Aaron about trying to kiss someone else, Aaron comforts him, adamant he can’t tell Gabby – but it leaves Vinny very conflicted.
Meanwhile, in the café, Ruby and Lewis dig into gossip about Manpreet’s (Rebecca Sarker) love life, but will she open up about her brief fling with Ross?
Thursday, August 7
Mackenzie remains determined to cheer Charity up, but she can’t help but blame herself.
After his conversation with Aaron yesterday, Vinny searches the internet looking for answers about his sexuality – but will it help?
Back in the café, Vanessa and Manpreet bond over the shared frustrations of their love lives.
Also, Dylan continues to ignore Ray.
Friday, August 8
As the week ends, Mack reassures Charity and Sarah that he’ll support them.
Moira tells Ross that he’ll be better off finding more work elsewhere, Vinny arranges to meet someone he’s met online, and Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is thrown when Lydia (Karen Blick) hands her an important letter.
