Coronation Street star Harry Lowbridge has confirmed his final scenes on the cobbles have aired.
The actor joined the soap last year as Logan Radcliffe, one of the brothers of the late Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) who was involved in his stabbing and subsequent death.
Logan appeared in Tuesday’s episode, where he attacked David Platt in Shuttleworth’s funeral parlour after David tried to get him to confess to arson on record.
In a new Instagram post, Lowbridge revealed that he had said goodbye to the soap for the foreseeable future, paying tribute to his character.
“That’s farewell to Logan… for now,” read his post caption, shared alongside a photo of Logan hiding behind a chair in the funeral parlour, in what was his last scene.
Co-star Paddy Beaver, who plays Max Turner on the soap, was one of many to applaud Lowbridge, writing “woop” in the comment section.
Similarly praising his performance, one Coronation Street fan wrote: “You have played a blinder with your bad boy character Harry,” while another penned: “All the best, you were great, hope you come back.”
Logan was originally considered a suspect for starting the Platt house fire but Tuesday’s episode saw him cleared of the crime.
In the hospital, waiting for news about Max, Shona received a phone call from Kit who confirmed that Logan wasn’t behind the arson.
“That was Kit,” she told David afterwards. “He’s been in with Logan. [Logan’s] admitted to stabbing Mason but he’s denying any involvement in the fire. Apparently he’s got a solid alibi, which means whoever did start it is still out there…”
David Platt remains a suspect himself, with sister Sarah alarmed after discovering his search history on his mobile phone, which included searches for arson and home insurance.
Were they just innocent searches that will come back to haunt him during the police investigation or was David really behind it?
