Coronation Street reintroduces James Bailey next week with a new actor in the role – and here’s your first look at him in action.
Upcoming episodes see Jason Callender take over the role of James, who was previously played by Nathan Graham between 2019 and 2022.
James returns to Weatherfield for a much-needed catch-up with his pregnant sister Dee-Dee, who secretly skips a hospital appointment to spend time with her brother.
It’s interesting timing for the visit, as Dee-Dee soon discovers that a new match has been found for Lauren Bolton’s unwell baby son Frankie, who needs a bone marrow donor.
This means that Frankie won’t have to wait for Dee-Dee’s baby to be born to receive the treatment he needs. Dee-Dee immediately feels conflicted as Frankie was one of her main reasons for keeping her baby, so she questions whether she’s done the right thing.
A new spoiler clip from Tuesday’s episode (March 18) shows the moment that James surprises Dee-Dee with an idea for the baby’s future.
James suggests that he and his boyfriend Danny could adopt her child, giving the baby a safe and loving home. Will Dee-Dee be swayed by the idea?
Two more Coronation Street spoiler clips show the drama ahead in other storylines next week.
Roy Cropper is seen interrupting Cassie Plummer when she’s in the middle of a drug deal. He urges Cassie to see sense and come with him.
The café owner’s bold intervention aggravates the dangerous dealer, especially when Roy threatens to call the police. Cassie’s dealer shoves her to the ground before rushing off.
The final clip shows Mary Taylor pose a problem for Rob Donovan as he hides out with his ex-partner Tracy McDonald at No.1.
Mary bangs on the door of the house, wanting Tracy to hold the fort at the flower shop for a while. Panicking, Tracy tries to deal with the troubling situation so that she’s not caught harbouring a criminal.
