At Laura’s, Lulu is all smiles now that her kids have been reunited. Laura tells her daughter, who is holding blankets, that she doesn’t have to bunk on the couch and can stay in Lucky’s room as he’s staying at Liz’s place. They are both happy for them, but Lulu brings up the fact that she and the kids should get their own place, too.
Laura knew this day would come, and she’s going to miss them all. Lulu is excited as it feels like her life is finally starting now that Charlotte is back, and she can’t wait to have a space for her and her kids. Laura understands.
Sonny Reaches Out to Laura
Sonny brings Donna to his new place, and she wonders why because it’s so late and she was almost in bed. Sonny tells her that she’ll be staying here for a few days because her mommy is in the hospital. He explains she drank something, and it made her sick, but she’s going to be fine, and they’ll go visit her tomorrow.
Sonny calls Laura and asks if she could come by his place. He has something to tell her, but he can’t leave because Donna is here. She asks what it’s about. He says he’ll fill her in when she gets here, and it’s important.
Laura arrives at Sonny’s and brings up the large number of men carrying weapons outside. She also finds it odd seeing him, not Valentin, living here. Sonny notes Valentin is why he called her. He tells her that Valentin broke in here tonight, and she admits he tried to break into her place, too. Sonny reveals he could have easily shot him, but he thought what it would do to Laura and her family. Rocco’s grandfather would have killed Charlotte’s father, and it would have been devastating. Her voice told him not to shoot Valentin. Laura is proud of him, but her influence hasn’t stopped him before, so what changed?
Sonny admits when their friendship got rocky, it was a low point for him. She admits it was hard on her, too. Sonny says he isn’t close with his brother, and Courtney and his dad aren’t here anymore. He always felt she and Luke were the family he needed. Laura says he made the choice to put the past behind him, and he’s becoming a better man, so it’s an exciting time to be his friend. She says given she’s the mayor, they may face bumps in the road, but she feels they’ll navigate them. Sonny is glad they are friends again, and so is Laura.
Felicia visits Carly at GH, and she knows Carly’s poisoning had something to do with Jack. Carly argues it was Valentin’s doing, but Felicia says she can do all the mental gymnastics she wants, but this still goes back to Jack. Carly argues she was married to Sonny so she can handle danger. Felicia notes Jack is on a whole other level than Sonny, as the danger for a WSB agent never ends.
