The separation of Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner made numerous headlines this year. But just a few months after the end of their marriage, the Hollywood star is reportedly already consoling himself with a new woman – and she’s no stranger!

In May, Christine Baumgartner surprisingly filed for divorce from Kevin Costner after 18 years of marriage. A separation that made numerous headlines this year, mainly due to the ensuing war of the roses.

Costner long since in love?
But it seems that the Hollywood star has long been ready for a new love affair. As the celebrity portal “TMZ” reported, Costner and country singer Jewel have now gotten closer at a fundraiser on Necker Island, one of the British Virgin Islands.

Costner was reportedly a guest at a tennis fundraiser for the Inspiring Children Foundation, which was founded by the 49-year-old. But the 68-year-old spent more than a week in the Caribbean – and got up close and personal with Jewel.

Photos show, among other things, the country singer sitting on Costner’s lap while he has both hands firmly around her waist. “There was definitely something going on,” said an insider about the two. “They were flirting and when they’re together, there’s a spark between them.”

Jewel also posted a photo together on Instagram. The singer and the actor can be seen in the photo with some other guests at the gala. Another insider explained that Costner and Jewel had tried to be discreet, “but anyone who saw them could tell there was something going on”.

30 million records sold
Jewel, whose full name is Jewel Kilcher, is successful in the USA not only as a singer but also as an actress. She has sold more than 30 million records and appeared alongside Tobey Maguire in the film “Riding with the Devil” in the 90s.

In 2021, she also won the US version of “The Masked Singer”. From 2008 to 2014, Jewel was married to rodeo star Ty Murray, with whom she has a son.
