Emmerdale’s Marlon Dingle makes another big decision that could backfire next week.
The fan favourite decides to secretly block his daughter April Windsor from having any further contact with her friend Dylan following his departure from the village.
Dylan recently checked into rehab to tackle his drug addiction, which Marlon agreed to pay for.
The show newcomer said his goodbyes without revealing to April that Marlon had recently framed him for the theft of ketamine from the vets surgery.

Next week, Marlon admits to his best friend Paddy Kirk that Dylan has sent a letter to April from rehab.
Rather than letting April hear from her friend, Marlon has opted to hide the delivery.
Paddy is shocked and urges him to tell April, but will Marlon listen? And can he really stop April and Dylan from ever seeing each other again?

Fred Kettle, who plays Dylan, made his first Emmerdale appearance in April’s special episode in February. The extended flashback scenes explored April’s time living on the streets.
April reconnected with Dylan after returning home to the village and tried her best to help him, which left Marlon uneasy.
Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon, recently shared some warm praise for rising star Fred after his work on the storyline.

“I say this as objectively as I can, he is one of the best young actors I have worked with. He puts me in mind of so many of the great young actors we’ve got on this,” Mark said.
“He’s really into his job, he’s nuanced, he’s clever, he’s attentive, he’s really professional, he’s one of the team, he is everything you could want in a young actor.
“As far as I’m concerned, if he doesn’t go a long way, there’s something wrong with the business, he’s a really good actor.”
