EastEnders fans have called out a somewhat baffling moment after spotting something in the Minute Mart.
It seems the local shop’s staff got a bit confused when coming up with promotions for Mother’s Day.
With the celebrations just over two weeks away, the shop was encouraging the residents of Walford to get the chocolates in for their mums with a special offer.
But rather than offering a straight up discount, a scene featuring Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) from Tuesday’s episode featured a sign revealing the Minute Mart was offering ‘3 for 2 on Mother’s Day chocolates’.
This caught the attention of a fan, who pointed out on Reddit that the promotion doesn’t make much sense.
They posted: ‘This made me laugh so much. Most people don’t have two mothers let alone three so it’s a very niche market they’re aiming this promotion at.’
‘I saw that! It gave me a little chuckle,’ another wrote.
‘I know I’d not be particularly impressed if my kids all bought me the same box of chocolates,’ another said.

However, one fan pointed out that Walford’s often complicated family trees might mean the promotion is relevant to many locals.
‘Let’s face it in Walford you got your mum, at least one step mum and at least another one of your dad’s affair partners,’ they joked.
Another added: ‘You do know you can buy one mother multiple gifts right? Also mothers often have more than one child that needs to get them a gift.’
One fan also pointed out another error, joking: ‘My biggest concern was there was no chocolate on the shelves, there was a lovely pipe of Glovers cheese snips though.’
A fair point.
