Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) faced an important appointment at the hospital in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.

The beloved character has been having radiotherapy treatment following the operation to remove her brain tumour, which took place last year. Her recovery journey has now reached a vital milestone, as a doctor gave her a life-changing update as the instalment began.

Moira attended her appointment all alone following her discovery husband Cain (Jeff Hordley) slept with Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) while she was having surgery. In the doctor’s office, Moira was completely overwhelmed to be given the all-clear.

The doctor told Moira that she’d have to visit for annual tests to ensure her health hasn’t taken any negative turns but ultimately, this was the news she had been waiting for.

Sitting and learning she had the all-clear was somewhat bittersweet for Moira. When the doctor mentioned family support, she felt sadness, knowing how difficult the dynamic is at Butlers right now.

While this was going on, Cain had learnt from Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) that Moira was at the hospital. He wasn’t quite sure why, but his guilt certainly increased, knowing Moira was going alone because of his betrayal.

When Moira got back to the village, she decided to get drunk in the pub to celebrate after her good news, but certainly distract herself from the situation with Cain as well.

Things got terribly awkward when Ruby entered. By this point, Moira was quite tipsy and Ruby took it upon herself to try and help.

In the pub back room, Ruby gave Moira some advice…which actually impacted her a great deal.

At Butlers, following Ruby’s words, Moira spoke to Cain about their relationship and made a final decision about where they stand…
