Tajh Bellow’s TJ has not been around in General Hospital for quite a while now, to be precise, since December 2024. Fans are almost desperate to see him back in action, especially as he left after one of the most heartbreaking storylines on the show. But it seems that the actor has a disappointing update about his return.
He spoke about this in a new video that he shared on his Instagram profile.
Tajh Bellow isn’t sure if TJ will return to General Hospital
Tajh Bellow was nominated for the Daytime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category. This was mainly because of the surrogacy storyline in General Hospital. The actor recently took to his social media platform to talk about this.
In a video he posted recently on Instagram, Tajh said, “I have been taking my time. Processing the nomination, and I just want to say thank you for all of the congratulatory messages and the outpouring of support for TJ and that heartbreaking storyline.”
He continued about the nomination, “It was a privilege to be afforded the space as a Creole Black man to grieve and hurt and really wrestle and tackle that raw emotion, and then for that to be visible to millions of viewers, I think that is important storytelling. And I hope that it opens doors for more people that look like me and talk like me. I’m excited.”
While expressing his gratitude, the actor also opened up about his plans. “As far as the future of TJ, if he’ll be back and in the capacity of which he’ll be back, I can’t speak to that yet, but I am excited about upcoming projects that are on the way and… more diverse storytelling.”
So, it seems that Bellow has other plans that do not necessarily include returning as TJ. This is a sad piece of news for General Hospital fans.
Something else also hints that Bellow is not necessarily looking to expand his role on General Hospital. Bellow is planning to attend Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles to pursue a Master’s in Entertainment Leadership and Management this fall. This could mean he is not looking for a regular role right now.
But there could be many variables, and fans should not lose hope just yet.
