General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that detective Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may become further estranged from his son Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) after a lab break-in. Will Dante be forced to arrest Gio for doing a favor for Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner)?

Emma will not rest until she discovers what shady Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) is doing in his PCU lab. She thinks he is doing illicit testing on animals, and she may be right.

Emma stole the campus master key from Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) when she thought the WSB agent was a janitor. In fact, he is working with fellow agent Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to crack the mystery of what Dalton is up to.

Will Joss and Vaughn Get Busted Again?

Emma told Gio that she would break into the lab while Dalton was lecturing. Gio pointed out that it would be sus if Emma wasn’t in the classroom when the break in occurred. He told her that she has to be with Dalton to avoid suspicion and offered to break in for her. What could go wrong?

Gio is a violinist, not a criminal. We see this wonky plot going sideways sooner rather than later. And that means he will be on the hook for breaking and entering and whatever else he does once he’s in there.

Gio Breaks Into Dalton’s Lab

Gio doesn’t have the street sense that Emma does, so it’s easy to imagine him tripping an alarm which would alert the police. If this happens, you can bet it will be his dad who is sent to investigate!

Dante has plenty of experience being caught in the middle since his dad is mobster Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). But so far Dante has never had to arrest his own son.

Will Dante and Gio Find Common Ground?

Can you imagine how Gio will react if Dante cuffs him and takes him down to the PCPD? Then again, Dante may put his father role first and look the other way! Or he might make matters even worse by covering for Gio.

Such behavior would show Gio that Dante truly cares about him, although it would endanger his career.
