EastEnders viewers are growing concerned for a character who seems to have mysteriously disappeared from the BBC soap.

As avid EastEnders watchers will recall, the Knight family, headed by ex-boxer George (portrayed by Colin Salmon), made their Walford debut back in June 2023. They quickly stirred up trouble for Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) as they moved into The Queen Vic alongside her mother Elaine (Harriet Thorpe).

George’s daughters Anna (Molly Rainford) and Gina (Francesca Henry) were soon unveiled as the offspring of legendary Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) in a shocking twist. However, earlier this year, The Vic was the scene of more drama when the pub exploded, resulting in two fatalities.

During the soap’s 40th anniversary, a fire tore through the pub, claiming the lives of beloved character Martin Fowler (James Bye) and villain Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman), and fans suspect another character may have perished in the catastrophe.

Linda and Elaine have since renovated the pub before selling it on to Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace), the new landlady, reports Plymouth Live.

However, viewers are now worried as the Knight family’s pet chihuahua, Tyson, seems to have gone missing, leaving fans questioning his fate.

Speculation is rife among EastEnders fans that the little dog may have tragically died in the devastating fire at the start of the year.

One viewer took to X, penning: “Why are we getting new pets on the square when we haven’t seen Tyson since last year. Did he burn to ash in the anniversary fire? I fear we’ll never know. And what about Rocky’s parrot? #EastEnders.”

A second responded: “I really miss Tyson tbh #EastEnders”, while a third added: “I’ve just remembered, who the hell has got Tyson the dog? Gina hasn’t, Anna’s in Spain and George is sleeping on couches. This dog has just been forgotten about #EastEnders.”
