Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) birth control could fail, so there’s a chance that could lead to a surprise pregnancy and baby number two for Tate Black (Leo Howard).

In Days’ February 18 episode, Tate checked with Holly to make sure she felt safe about hitting the sheets.

Holly was quick to point out that she was on the pill, but then she added something rather ominous – at least considering how soap dialogue usually goes.

“Don’t worry, Tate. Nothing’s gonna go wrong. It’s gonna be perfect,” Holly insisted.

Of course, it’s never a good idea to make a prediction like that in Salem.

We’ve all heard examples of people promising things like a perfect wedding only to have it end in disaster or swearing a secret will stay buried only for it to get exposed.

In other words, a Days character often says one thing before the opposite happens! If that’s the case for Holly, then maybe Tate really does have a reason to worry.

Since Holly insisted nothing would go wrong, does that mean something ultimately will? Did Holly just doom herself to some birth control failure?

Holly hasn’t been on the pill very long, so it’s possible she missed a dose or two. DOOL fans know Holly has ever been the most responsible girl around, so that’s worth keeping in mind.

However, birth control isn’t 100-percent effective anyway – and that’s especially true on Days where anything that can go wrong often does.

It’s at least possible Holly will have a pregnancy scare where she’s late and fears she might be Tate’s next baby mama.

It’s easy to imagine Holly leaning on Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) while she panics in a situation like that. 

Even if it turns out to be a false alarm, Holly might freak out at the thought of telling Tate he’s going to be a father again.

If Holly actually ends up with Tate’s bun in the oven, that could lead to questions about whether she planned this.

Holly might get accused of trying to compete with Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) and lock in her own future with Tate, even if that’s not how it happened.

Regardless, it’d be Tate’s worst nightmare if he found out Holly was pregnant since he’s already dealing with Sophia’s baby drama!
