On today’s Days of Our Lives recap:
Rafe suggests Gabi call the hotel to see if Arianna Grace checked in. She makes the call and learns neither Arianna nor Holly have checked in (would they give that information out?).
Warehouse: Arianna Grace and Holly awaken and wonder what time of day it is. They didn’t sleep much as they’re huddled together on the floor. They look up and see a bag by the door containing water. Arianna opens it up but Holly runs to stop her. She throws it away but Arianna says the goon wouldn’t poison them as he needs them alive to collect his money. Holly wonders if their families even know they are missing.
Arianna Grace thinks her mother is having a complete meltdown since she hasn’t been in contact. Holly questions whether that’s unusual and Arianna thinks being flakey with her mom is coming back to bite her. They hope Gabi is in a full meltdown leading Rafe to begin to search.
Arianna Grace is furious with young Douglas for getting them into this mess. Holly counters Doug didn’t do any of this on purpose. Arianna is stunned she’s defending him. Holly explains a little history about the loan sharks and thinks Doug was trying to protect them. She notes how he has been pushing her away and Arianna says she’s had the same experience.
Tate thinks it’s a good thing Johnny and Chanel didn’t adopt their baby. Belle asks about Sophia and he says she’s acting very weird. He mentions lake week and how he came back early since Holly didn’t show and he hasn’t heard from her. Rafe encourages Gabi not to freak out as there are all kinds of explanations. He says the PD can’t do anything yet but he will start an unofficial investigation.
Brady Pub – Doug’s Room: Young Douglas calls Gwen’s room and is happy to realize she’s not there. Tate arrives and demands to know where Holly is. Doug, once again, says he has no clue where she is but Tate does not believe him. They go back and forth a bit before Doug tries to physically throw Tate out. Before he can get there, Tate sees the pictures of Holly and Arianna Grace and thinks Doug is stalking Holly. He explains someone sent them to him and says the girls are in trouble and he is to blame.
Young Douglas provides Tate all the details. Tate can’t believe he didn’t call the police but Doug says the goon warned him not to. He says he has done everything to get the money. Tate says he can hit up his bank account to pay off the debt. Tate is heading to the bank and tells Doug to set up a meeting with the goon. Doug thanks him and wonders how he will ever repay him. Tate wants him to get out of town and never come back (No!).
Horton Square: Mama Choi calls Sophia. She wonders if her daughter is ok since she didn’t answer when she knocked earlier on her bedroom door. Sophia says she’s in Chicago to meet with the couple who wants to adopt her baby. Mama Choi has many questions and Sophia says her new lawyer helped her secure the meeting. She didn’t tell her mother because the baby is due soon and didn’t want to hold things up by consulting her mother. Mama Choi says she’s supposed to report to jury duty (interesting) but will skip it to be with Sophia and Tate. Sophia says Tate isn’t there because he’s at senior lake week and wants to handle the situation on her own. She says her mother ruined one adoption and won’t let her ruin another. With that, she hangs up.
DiMera Mansion – Living Room: EJ reviews crime scene photos and then flashes back to being shot.
Courtroom: (We have an actual courtroom! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!) EJ arrives and finds Belle sitting at her table. EJ breaks the silence saying he didn’t seduce her so she would drop the charges against Johnny. He made love to her because he wanted to. Belle believes him but also thinks he wanted her to drop the charges. EJ agrees both were true.
Belle asks if they can keep their relationship professional during the trial and EJ agrees. That being said, he wants to talk later so there isn’t a rift between them. Belle agrees but says they should keep away from each other, in public, for Johnny’s sake. She declares, from there forward, they are adversaries (which clearly tickles EJ’s fancy).
Courtroom – Outside: the court room, Mama Choi is talking to her husband and is pissed she has to serve jury duty and Leo, with little T, asks her to keep it down. She asks her husband (Sam) to drive to Chicago and find their daughter. Mama Choi talks to Leo about the baby and how adorable he is. That being said, grown children are much more difficult. She notes it’s a newborn and Leo says a mother dropped him off at the firehouse.
Mama Choi plays peakaboo with the baby. Leo makes an off-color joke about his own mother which throws MC. She says the baby is the only thing keeping her from worrying herself to death.
Courtroom: EJ and Mama Choi see each other and neither can believe the other is there. EJ and Belle begin voir dire. EJ asks Mama Choi if she can be impartial and she says no as EJ is a horrid human being. Belle asks about being impartial towards the defendant and she says no. They both excuse Mama Choi for cause (too bad).
Courtroom – Outside: Mama Choi tells Leo she was excused and heads over to say goodbye to little T. She tells him she feels like they formed a great bond.
Courtroom: Belle tells EJ they’re going to have a difficult time seating a jury because of the very public history of the DiMera’s dastardly deeds. Just then, Leo enters with the baby and freaks out when he sees EJ. Leo tries to use the baby to get out of jury duty but Belle and EJ are unmoved. He moves along to try and use his job as a journalist as an excuse but to no avail. Leo stupidly agrees he can be unbiased and is seated on the jury.
Later, EJ is terribly frustrated because he knows the key to exonerating his son is locked in his head.

Endings
Belle is surprised EJ hasn’t told the police he knows who shot him, even though he doesn’t remember. Belle has an idea to unlocking his hidden memories.
Gabi leaves another voicemail for her daughter asking for a call back. Just then, Leo returns with little T going on and on about being selected for jury duty.
Sophia calls Melinda wondering what’s taking so long. She updates her on the call with her mother and stuck to the covers story.
Mama Choi runs into Tate and tells him all about Sophia’s meeting with an adoptive couple in Chicago. He wants to talk but says he has an urgent matter and runs away.
Young Douglas texts the goon and awaits a response.
Rafe returns home and tells Gabi that Holly’s car is still in the parking lot by the square with their bags in the trunk.
Arianna Grace and Holly decide they have to take action to save their own lives.
