CORONATION Street’s Rob Donovan’s final scenes have aired as he dripped poison into sister Carla Connor’s life once more.
The murderer – who is played by actor Marc Baylis in the ITV soap – made a shock return earlier this year.
He returned after Carla fell ill and desperately needed a kidney transplant to save her life.
Rob agreed to donate one of his, insisting he had found god in prison but his lies soon unravelled and he used the surgery to escape.
But after failing to flee the country and ending up taking Carla’s girlfriend Lisa hostage along with Tracy Barlow, Rob’s gun went off shooting Betsy Swain.
In hospital, Lisa tried to wind Rob up, gloating that he was going back to prison while Betsy fought her life.
“You should’ve pulled the trigger when you had the chance, and then your precious daughter would be alright,” Rob told her.
He tried to get under her skin in an effort to get her to attack him, but it didn’t work – at first.
Lisa told him he would be an old man before he saw freedom again and that would rot in prison.
But as she went to leave he told her: “I should warn you about Carla.
“She’s bad news is our Carla. It’s not her fault, bless her. Everyone around her gets burned. Trouble loves her. Look at what’s just happened to your daughter, eh?
“She has this way of dragging everyone down around her. Me, Peter… you.
“But Carla has this way of circling the drain while the rest of us get pulled into the sewer.
“I should get out now if I were you, or you’ll be next.”
