FORMER Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay is set to host an exciting new comedy quiz show nearly two decades after her departure from the beloved ITV soap.

The three-part series will celebrate some of the biggest and funniest moments from the 70s and 80s, with a special Christmas episode to round things off.

Sally, who played Shelley Unwin on the cobbles from 2001 to 2006, will take the helm as two teams of celebrity guests go head to head in a variety of entertaining rounds.

A teaser for the show has promised laughter, nostalgic throwbacks, and entertaining challenges.

It reads: “There will be questions to answer, games to play, and classic clips to enjoy, on topics from sitcoms to scary children’s programmes, food to pop music, gameshows to the biggest headlines of the decade.

“If you love the 1970s, come and be part of this fun, nostalgic treat!”

Audience members will have the chance to experience the excitement in person if they buy tickets through Lost In TV.

Since her soap days, Sally has built an impressive career as an actress and presenter.

Recently she has gained acclaim for her role in Channel 5’s The Madame Blanc Mysteries, which she co-created.

In a recent interview with the Sun’s TV mag, Sally shared an interesting connection between her personal life and the hit drama.

Her real married name is White, making her a real-life ‘Madame Blanc’.

Speaking about the series, she said: “I still can’t go over it myself. I think it’s written with a lot of heart, because I do love it a lot. It’s one of the loves of my life, Madame Blanc.”
