Coronation Street’s Cait Fitton has bid goodbye to co-star Paddy Bever after his soap exit.
The Lauren Bolton actor took to Instagram to share a sweet tribute to her on-screen partner, who had his last appearance on the cobbles in Monday’s episode (March 3).
Viewers saw Max Bolton (Bever) sentenced to six and a half years in prison after being found guilty of arson, having started the recent Platt family home fire.
“Team Lax,” her post caption began with a broken heart emoji. “What a journey it’s been… Coming into this, I never thought I’d be lucky enough to be paired with someone so hard working and so dedicated.
“@paddybever you amaze me,” she continued. “Thank you for the lifelong lessons you have taught me, for being my rock and my partner in crime throughout my journey so far and for being the most caring, talented and gorgeous soul you are.”
Fitton reflected on the journey and memories they’ve made together, and signed off wishing her co-star all the best for the future.
“For now it’s goodbye to Max on the cobbles , but I wish you so much love and luck for your future and I’m so excited for the opportunities that are to come your way! I love you Beves.”
For the post, Fitton shared a compilation video of some of Lauren and Max’s best scenes, thanking a fan account for the edit.
Bever reacted to Fitton’s post in the comments section, writing: “Oh Cait” with a heart emoji.
Announcing his exit from the soap in a statement back in January, Bever said his time on the ITV soap was “unforgettable” adding: “While I look forward to what lies ahead, I will treasure these memories.”
