Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent is keen to return to the cobbles, she has revealed.
The Sophie Webster actress was at the forefront of some huge storylines during her 15 years on the show between 2004 and 2019.
Some of the character’s biggest stories saw her become a Christian, as well as falling in love with best friend Sian Powers and realising that she was a lesbian.
Though she planned to marry Sian, things fell apart between them, and Sophie went on to have relationships with Maddie Heath, Kate Connor and Paula Martin.
In 2019, she left Weatherfield to go travelling, to accommodate actress Brooke’s maternity leave.
Brooke has since given birth to two sons, Mexx and Monroe, who she shares with Sheffield United footballer Kean Bryan.
Now, she is ready to return to the ITV soap, she revealed to Charlotte Dawson on the Naughty Corner Podcast.
‘I think I would [go back to Corrie], I think now the kids are a little bit older and they’re going to start school.
‘I’d love to go back.’
There have been numerous Corrie returns in recent weeks, with Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) making a dramatic prison escape, and Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) hiding a devastating secret.
This weekend, it was also announced that Catherine Tyldesley would be reprising her role as bubbly barmaid Eva Price, with her first scenes set to air in the autumn.
With show boss Kate Brooks having teased more returns, could Sophie Webster be one of them?
In recent scenes, dad Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) was diagnosed with testicular cancer, and took a call from Sophie after she found out the news.
Could she return to the cobbles to support her dad through his treatment?
Metro also previously revealed that Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is set to be diagnosed with dementia.
Will these worrying health updates from her family bring Sophie back to the street?
