The Body & Soul era continues to wrap up.
The Wednesday, February 12 episode of Days of Our Lives continued wrapping up the Body & Soul saga.
Post-Body & Soul Era
Kayla and Stephanie
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) have already put B&S in their rearview. Now, they are moving on to something much more dire: the end of Salem University Hospital. Apparently, the hospital has been struggling financially for a long time. B&S’ use of it as a location was a valuable source of money. Now that the soap is relocating to Los Angeles, the hospital is in trouble again. Stephanie, with her crack PR skills, is making it her mission to keep the hospital open.
Stephanie, Alex, and Joy
Even when Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) called Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) out and revealed that she had witnessed him and Stephanie kissing, he still couldn’t muster up the guts to end whatever he had going on with Joy. She had to do it for him. It was pretty sad. However, Alex and Joy were never meant to be. Ultimately, Stephanie and Alex were free to be together. Meanwhile, Joy’s plans are still up in the air. She hasn’t decided whether she’s going to L.A. with B&S.
Johnny and Chanel
Johnny (Carson Boatman) let Chanel (Raven Bowens) know that he didn’t want to go to L.A. He rather stay in town and work on their marriage. By the end of the episode, they decided they wanted to work on having a baby. They’re going to make an appointment with Kayla to see if it’s okay to try again after the whole radiation debacle.
However, if Chanel isn’t able to have the baby herself, the couple might have another option. The show had Johnny and Chanel talk to Tate (Leo Howard) and Sophia (Rachel Boyd) for a reason, right? It’s possible that Chanel won’t be able to have a baby, so they end up wanting to adopt Sophia and Tate’s baby. Is that where this story is headed?
ETC.
Meanwhile, it looks like it’s time to bid adieu to Seth Burns (Bruce Beatty). He quit his job as the hospital administrator to move to L.A. with B&S. As for Leo (Greg Rikaart), he, unfortunately, had to cut Doug III (Peyton Meyer) loose as his assistant. After all, since he was let go, he was no longer in need of a right-hand man. What’s next for Leo?
What do you think of Johnny and Chanel’s potential story? What did you think of the new Sophia? Where should Doug III work? And what should Leo pursue next? Will you miss Seth Burns? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
