The actress posted a screenshot of one of the stories alleging that the Daytime Emmy winner was killed in a Hawaii tsunami. She then captioned the story, “I’m Baaaaack!!!!! Another Soap Diva returns from the dead. 🌈🙏💫😇” letting her fans know she was alive and well.

Fans immediately took to her comments to share their thanks that Grahan wasn’t harmed. “I panicked for a second! What is wrong with people?!” Said one user, while a second shared, “Not gonna lie, I stopped breathing for a sec” A third user jokingly added “Well, if they are going to lie about you, at least they used a great photo of you ☺️”

The rumors come after the actress spent some time vacationing in Hawaii, and shared photos of her time on her Instagram.

She captioned one of the photos “BFF while trying to get a postable natural shot that didn’t need to be photoshopped.

Grahn began her daytime soap career joining One Life to Live as Beverly Wilkes in 1978, from there she became a household name as Julia Wainwright Capwell on the NBC series Santa Barbra. The actress then joined General Hospital as Alexis Davis, where she’s been since 1996. The actress also crossed over to the General Hospital spin-off Port Charles in 2000.

Grahn is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards. Winners will be announced in October.
