Coronation Street upset as Sam suffers a panic attack after terrifying ordeal

Poor Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) has been through a lot of trauma in his life, and things have been getting on top of him recently in Coronation Street.

He was left in a terrifying situation when Mick Michaelis stormed his school with a weapon, and cousin Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) locked him out of the classroom she was hiding in.

Tensions have been high between the two teens ever since, with rows breaking out between them on multiple occasions.

With Lily refusing to apologise for her actions, Sam took matters into his own hands in tonight’s episode, by playing a mean trick in retaliation.

After telling Lily that there had been a spate of break-ins in the area, Sam snuck into her house and moved the furniture around, leading Lily to believe they had been burgaled.

Terrified, Lily ran to the Bistro where the rest of the family were gathered, and the truth about Sam’s actions was revealed.

Having believed that Sam and Lily had put the classroom incident behind them, the adults were frustrated to realise that the teens were still at odds with each other.

Later, things only escalated further when Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) brought Sam round to apologise to Lily.

It was clear that David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) didn’t buy the sincerity of Sam’s apology, and he launched into him about how ‘weird’ he was.

This proved too upsetting for poor Sam, who rushed out of the house, before suffering a panic attack.

It’s not the first time Sam has shown symptoms of anxiety, with Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) having found him hiding under a desk in the Bistro office during Audrey Roberts’ (Sue Nicholls) birthday dinner.

In upcoming scenes, Sam is set to open up to Toyah Battersby about his anxiety attacks – will she be able to help him?
