Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd has married his fiancée, Hanni Treweek, in a romantic ceremony on Saturday. The newlyweds shared their first kiss as husband and wife before heading off to their reception. The 37-year-old actor, who plays David Platt on the soap, and his new bride Hanni, 36, exchanged vows at Manchester Cathedral, just over a year after Jack proposed during a safari trip in Tanzania, Africa.
Jack was seen arriving in a classic red Mustang convertible with his son Reuben, whom he shares with his ex-partner Lauren Shippey. The soap star looked dapper in a cream suit. Among the guests were fellow Corrie stars Lucy Fallon, Tina O’Brien, and Julia Golding. Jack’s close friends Colson Smith and Ben Price played special roles on the day.
Helen Worth, who plays Jack’s on-screen mother, was also seen looking delighted as she walked hand-in-hand with her husband towards the venue, while Tina O’Brien, Julia Golding, and Lucy Fallon were also present. Hanni kept her groom and guests waiting as she arrived 12 minutes late to the venue. Before entering, she was seen taking photos and performing a final makeup check
Guests were seen enjoying themselves at the afterparty, leaving the posh venue Hallé St Peter’s in the early hours of Sunday morning. co-stars Sally Carman and Joe Duttine certainly made a bold exit from the wedding as they shared a passionate kiss.
The couple, who play Abi Franklin and Tim Metcalfe in the ITV soap, appeared to be having the best time ever as they stumbled out of their co-star’s swanky reception in Manchester.
Having traded her heels for a more comfortable pair of flip-flops, Sally giggled softly as she gently held onto her husband, Jack, and together they made their way down the staircase.
The newlyweds, Jack and Hanni, opted for a more discreet and intimate exit through the back door, quietly making their way back to their hotel, where they could indulge in some well-deserved private time.
Meanwhile, Michelle Hardwick appeared in exceptionally high spirits as she exited the reception with her wife, Kate Brooks. Michelle pulled her close in a warm, affectionate embrace, enjoying the celebratory atmosphere of the event.
