During the latest episode of their On the Sofa podcast, the trio, who have worked together on the iconic ITV soap for years, were discussing their Wagamama’s loyalty card—and what seemed like a simple dinner turned into a full-on betrayal. Colson, jokingly but seriously, “called out” Ben for using their shared loyalty stamps on a trip without them.
It all started innocently enough. The three co-stars love grabbing meals at Wagamama together, collecting stamps for a free starter or main course along the way. But, in true Coronation Street fashion, the drama unfolded when they realized Ben had redeemed a free main course on his own. “On the last meal, me and Jack saved you £18, thinking that next time, Ben’s got the free main—fair enough,” Colson explained, expecting a favor returned. But instead, Ben went to Wagamama by himself, without his co-stars. Even worse, he used the free meal for himself!
Ben explained that he stopped by a branch in Salford with his daughter before a live podcast show, but Colson wasn’t having it. He labeled it “full s**t-house,” calling out Ben for “eating their money.” Jack even chimed in, saying, “You’ve only got those stamps because it’s a joint effort.”
Ben, laughing, admitted his move wasn’t ideal but justified it with a witty remark: “I think I’ve got a free main which will work out better for me.” The drama continued as Ben explained that, after using his stamp, he only ended up paying £15 for a meal that would have cost him much more. The trio couldn’t stop laughing at the situation, but it’s clear that Colson is not ready to let Ben off the hook just yet.
