6 Sets From Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Yellowstone’ That You Can Actually Visit

If you’re as obsessed with Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone as we are, then you’ve probably found yourself wanting to go to Montana and live like the Duttons do. And while that may seem impossible to some-since they are, sadly, fictional-it actually isn’t! Several of the show’s most popular sets, including the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, are open to the public for visits, with some even offering guided tours. And it isn’t just Yellowstone-there are some from Landman and 1923 that are open to the public as well! To discover what they are and where you need to go to see them, keep scrolling.

Does ‘Landman’ Tie Into ‘Yellowstone’? Here’s What We Know

If you are a fan of the Taylor Sheridan universe, then you know that he loves to reuse actors and connect shows to one another-case in point: Yellowstone, 1883, 1923, 1944, The Madison and 6666 (pronounced “four sixes”). But what about the writer’s other projects-specifically his Texas-based oil drama Landman? How does that drama-filled saga […]

The Yellowstone Dutton Ranch

The Yellowstone Dutton Ranch

Featured in Yellowstone1923 and the end of 1883, the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch is a landmark in the Sheridan universe. And if you’ve just been dying to go out there and stomp around like Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), then you’re in luck, because the big white barn as well as some of the stables and the giant Dutton Mansion, are available to visit in Montana.

The address is 125 Appaloosa Trail, Darby, Montana 59829, and while it’s technically called the Chief Joseph Ranch, it looks exactly the same on screen as it does in person.

Spanish Fork, Utah fairgrounds

If you are as in love with the rodeo scenes in Yellowstone as we are, then you have to visit Spanish Fork, Utah. The town has a population of 45,557 and its fairgrounds are where all of the show’s rodeo scenes were filmed. Who knows, while you’re there, maybe you can hop on a bull and ride it yourself. It’s address is 475 S Main St, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660.

6666 Ranch

In Season 4 of Yellowstone, some of the cast leave Montana for Texas and begin to work at the famous 6666 (pronounced four sixes) ranch, which is fully operational and able to be visited. The address is 601 6666 Road, Guthrie, Texas 79236 and Sheridan himself currently lives there, so maybe if you’re lucky, you can even spot him riding his horse or lassoing some cattle.

Grand Central Station and Ellis Island

Grand Central Station and Ellis Island

In Season 2 of 1923, Alexandra Dutton (Julia Schlaepfer) travels from England to America by boat. Upon her arrival, she goes to Ellis Island in the hopes of getting citizenship and then heads for Grand Central Station to get a bus ticket to Montana so that she can reunite with her husband, Spencer Dutton (Brandon Sklenar). Both of these historic places are still open in New York City today and even offer guided tours that allow you to learn more about the rich history that unfolded within their walls.

Okay, yes, Bozeman is a town and not a single location, but in Yellowstone and 1923, there are several different mentions and visits to it, making it the perfect place for you to stay overnight while trying to live like the Duttons did. The town has a population of 57,305 as of 2023 and even had its own airport, making travel easier than herding cattle.

Fort Worth, Texas

Fort Worth, Texas, is to Landman what Bozeman, Montana, is to Yellowstone. It’s the big town they always talk about and sometimes visit, making it the perfect place for you to visit if you are a fan of the show. After your arrival, you can walk around, see cowboys and maybe even find an oil rig or two to tour. Just make sure to wear your hard hat in case of an overdramatic emergency. We all know the Norris family loves to get themselves tangled up in those.
